For one of my challenges this month I needed an avocado-based sauce, so I came up with this. I'm going to explain a variety of ways you could go with it depending on the flavor you're looking for.

Ingredients:

2 ripe avocados
1 lime
2 fresh tomatillos
1 serrano chile
salt
garlic powder

Directions:

Cut the avocados in halves and use a spoon to remove the seed then scoop the insides of the halves into a food processor (or blender). Remove the leaves from the tomatillos, quarter, then add to the processor. Squeeze in a half of a lime and also add half of the serrano chile pepper to the processor. Puree.

This sauce is supposed to be a little runny, so you will either need to add 1 tbsp of water, or you can squeeze the rest of the lime juice in if you want a tangier sauce. Also, if you want more heat, feel free to use all of the serrano. I like to add salt and garlic powder to taste.

Make sure the sauce is well blended, then you're done!
