I could think of few things tastier and simpler than wrapping bacon around a prawn. I was not disappointed here.
10 large prawns (tail off and peeled)
5 strips of bacon
ground black pepper
toothpicks
Cut the strips of bacon in half and separate and lay out on a cutting board, plate or baking sheet. Lay out the prawns as well. Sprinkle liberally with ground black pepper. Freshly ground would be best. Wrap a half strip of bacon around each prawn and skewer with a toothpick to secure the bacon. For best results, grill. If a grill is not readily accessible, pan frying the bacon-wrapped shrimp is not unforgivable.
This recipe is rated WICKED easy. Make these. Seriously. If you take these to a party and every single person doesn't love them, give them an open-palmed slap on the back, check for the red finger marks and take your shrimp and go home. These are crazy easy and not nearly enough people make these. DO IT!
